How has your business changed in the past 12 months?

In the past year we’ve produced 15+ books and significantly expanded what our authors get out of the process. Describe a Failure in your Career

Early on, we tried to build books from authors’ existing materials — old articles, talks, course content. It seemed efficient, but it often flopped. People evolve. Their thinking sharpens, their language changes, and even when they still stand behind what they said two years ago, they want to say it differently now. Books built on recycled content felt stale — to the author and to the reader. That failure taught us something fundamental: a book that works is a book written fresh, capturing the author’s voice and belief system as it is right now. That’s been a non-negotiable ever since.


What about your company makes you the most proud

This is one of our core values — to be genuinely proud of what we produce — so it’s hard to pick one thing. But if I had to: we take something most experts think will take years and make it real in months, without cutting corners. Every time an author holds their finished book and says ‘I didn’t think this was possible’ — that’s the moment. We’re not a vanity press. We build books that actually work as business tools, and our authors use them to land clients, get on stages, and build authority that compounds over time.


How do you motivate people to give their best?

Clarity and ownership. I give people the full picture — why their piece matters to the whole — and then get out of the way. I don’t micromanage process; I set a high bar for the result and trust people to figure out how to hit it. When someone delivers great work, I make sure they know exactly what made it great, not just ‘good job.’ And when something falls short, we talk about it directly — no guessing games. People do their best work when they’re trusted and when the standard is clear.
